South County Animal Hospital Ambulatory Services
South County Animal Hospital offers ambulatory services for routine preventative maintenance procedures, investigation of health concerns and 24-hour emergency care. We maintain two full-service mobile units that cover over a 45 mile radius around Greenwood.
Routine herd work includes vaccinations, deworming, maintenance dental care, health certificates and coggins testing. In addition, many other health concerns can be evaluated while on location including: illness, reproductive issues, ophthalmic injuries and emergency situations such as lacerations and colics. Some procedures commonly performed in the field include physical examination, administration of medications, laceration repair, pregnancy evaluation and obstetrical procedures, superficial tumor removal, castrations, and more. We have a portable x-ray unit as well as an ultrasound machine to aid in diagnosis. Our in-house laboratory allows our veterinarians to bring blood and other samples back to the clinic for quick results to expedite diagnosis and treatment. Our veterinarians will evaluate your animal and administer the appropriate treatments.
Our ambulatory services are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
